Description
Outer spherical bearings typically have a spherical (convex) outer surface and an elongated inner ring (
, using different types of locking devices. Different series of outer spherical bearings are locked onto the shaft in different ways:
Equipped with fastening screws (
)
Use eccentric locking sleeve (
)
Using IMCB ConCentra locking technology (
)
Use a tightening sleeve (
)
Adopting interference fit (
)
The extended outer spherical bearings on both sides of the inner ring operate more smoothly because the extended parts can reduce the inclination of the inner ring on the shaft.
The standard IMCB outer spherical bearing series introduced in this chapter also includes the following special application types:
Stainless steel bearings or bearings with galvanized inner and outer rings suitable for the food industry (outer spherical bearings with set screws, IMCB food grade ball bearing units)
Bearings suitable for agricultural applications (IMCB ball bearing units suitable for agricultural applications)
